About Us
Who are we?
The Vets @ Dronfield is an independent clinic owned and run by Cat and Dave. They have both been vets for over 20 years and opening their own practice is the realisation of a long-held dream for the couple.
The team they have gathered together at The Vets @ Dronfield are all colleagues they know well and trust and who share their vision of caring for your pets in a collaborative and knowledgeable way to ensure they live their best lives!

I have been a vet for over 20 years, starting out in mixed practice before focussing on small animals.
My main interest is in geriatric pet care, early identification of old age conditions like arthritis and kidney disease and then supporting pets and their owners to keep them comfortable and well.
Non clinically I enjoy helping my team to develop their abilities and create a happy and healthy working environment.
Away from practice I coach Junior Rugby at Dronfield Rugby Club. A sport I have been involved in since I was at school. I enjoy time in the outdoors either in the garden or out in the Peaks.

I graduated from Bristol Veterinary School in 2003 and have worked ever since with pets in local veterinary clinics.
I began my career in the West Midlands in a large and busy hospital and after four years I became freelance, which meant I experienced a wide variety of veterinary practices, from charity clinics to referral centres.
10 years ago I decided it was time to move back to my home town to be closer to family and hence we now live in lovely Dronfield!
I hold an additional qualification in Small Animal Medicine and I am a member of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association’s Global Nutrition Committee
My clinical interests are the care of senior pets, nutrition and dentistry. I am also passionate about pet owner communication and collaborative care, I believe very strongly that veterinary medicine is a team effort between owners and veterinary professionals and that by ensuring pet parents are fully informed and educated about their pet’s needs, we can together achieve the best outcomes and health.
You might also see me on social media as ‘Cat The Vet’, where I post regularly about pet health, welfare, nutrition and other things that interest me!

I qualified as a veterinary nurse from the RVC in 2008 and have a Nursing Certificate in Animal Behaviour. I am also registered with the Dog’s Trust as a Dog Friendly Nurse. Since qualifying I’ve worked in small animal general practice with some emergency work alongside. I love working in first opinion practice where we can get to know our patients and their care givers.
My main areas of interest are anaesthesia, behaviour and pain management. There is such a big overlap between physical health and behaviour and I love being able to help the patient as a whole. Little things can make sure a big difference to our pets and gaining their trust to help them heal is so rewarding.
Outside of work I have three children whose social lives keep me very busy and a lurcher called Pixie.

I have been a Registered Veterinary Nurse for over 19 years. I hold a Diploma in Clinical Veterinary Nursing, a Certificate in Small Animal Nutrition and am currently studying to become a Canine Conditioning Coach.
After being introduced to the world of sporting dogs and flyball 3 years ago I gained an interest in fitness and injury prevention in dogs. We see our human athletes training hard to strengthen and balance muscles to reduce injury and increase performance, but there isn’t much out there in this country for dogs. I would love to change this attitude and help clients improve their dog’s mobility and fitness in order to prevent injury and support those who are recovering.
Outside of work I regularly compete with my 2 crazy Labradors in flyball with Sheffield Speeders flyball teams and enjoy reading and crafts.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2010 from the Leeds College of Animal Welfare. I have a Certificate in Canine and Feline Veterinary Health and Nutrition, as well as an ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing.
I enjoy all aspects of nursing but my main interests are feline friendly nursing, inpatient care and meeting clients and their lovely pets in my nurse consults. I particularly enjoy helping to educate clients about maintaining their pet’s health and supporting those whose pets require medical management.
I have two young children who keep me very busy and a one-eyed rescue cat called Stanley!
I am looking forward to meeting you all and your wonderful pets!
