Our Diabetes Support Package includes:

30-Minute Initial Nurse Support Clinic:

Following your pet’s diagnosis, you will be scheduled an appointment for a Nurse Support Clinic. We will walk you through everything you need to know, from how to administer insulin injections to understanding your pet’s treatment plan. We’re here to answer your questions and ensure you feel comfortable and confident. If your pet has other concurrent diseases, we will be able to navigate this with you.

Ongoing support:

We’re committed to your pet’s long-term health. After your initial consultation, we’ll check in the next day to see how you and your pet are doing. In the weeks that follow, we will monitor your pet’s progress regularly and as needed, both in person and over the phone or via Whatsapp, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure their clinical signs are improving and their diabetes is well managed

Hands-On Injection Guidance:

We will demonstrate and guide you through the injecting process, helping you feel comfortable and at ease when administering your pet’s insulin.

Diet and Feeding Guidance:

We’ll work with you to develop a tailored feeding plan that supports your pet’s health and diabetes management. We will look at which diet will be appropriate to feed, portion sizes, and feeding schedules.

Blood Glucose Monitoring: Including Two Freestyle Libre monitors, the application and interpretation of the data.

We’ll help you understand how to monitor your pet’s blood glucose levels and explain what the readings mean. Regular monitoring is key to managing diabetes effectively, and we’ll support you in making this part of your routine. Our diabetes support package includes 2 Freestyle Libre monitors which we will apply to your pet to monitor their glucose levels. You simply scan the device using your smartphone or tablet which inputs the data into the Libreview app. The Vet will then interpret the results and the insulin can be adjusted if required.
